Each adventure I join, I find more and more surprises. Finding myself at the mercy of a vampire lord of some kind? Surprising. Joining a band of… pirates… with no ship? More surprising. Yet he was the most surprising of all. A shock. A tart bite to my otherwise average existence. This is getting interesting.


Red Wine Berry Cake

Ingredients:
- 1/4 cup Assorted Berries
- 1/2 cup Honey
- 2 cups Bread Crumbs, finely ground
- 2 tsp Cinnamon
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1/4 cup Red Wine (Preferred: Martikov - Blue Water Inn)

Directions:
Boil honey over extreme heat and remove unwanted residue from top while cooking. Reduce the flame and add cinnamon, salt, and wine. Beat in bread crumbs until blend is thick. Remove from fire and place onto flat surface coated in lard. Use a rolling pin to spread evenly, and divide into seven equal squares. Spoon mashed berries onto the first square, top with the second, press down the edges, and repeat until you have used all the layers. Combine remaining berries with honey over medium high flame and drizzle the dark, bubbling sauce over the cake.
